Reconnect with your colleagues and friends in Edmonton for AFPC’s Canadian Pharmacy Education and Research Conference (CPERC), June 16-19, 2026, at the Westin Edmonton Hotel.​ CPERC 2026 is co-hosted by the University of Alberta and the University of British Columbia. ​

CPERC ABSTRACTS

Deadline January 31, 2026. The call for oral and poster abstracts for CPERC will open for submission by pharmacy educators, researchers and students in November 2025. CPERC will be using the MyAbstract online system to submit, peer review and manage abstracts.

CPERC 2026 abstracts can be submitted for oral and poster presentations, under 3 categories: 1) pharmacy education initiative, 2) teaching and learning research / scholarship, and 3) pharmaceutical science (including Pharmacy Practice Research). All abstracts will be peer-reviewed and authors will be notified by April 15. The abstract submission page will be updated soon. REGISTRATION

Registration opens in January. Early bird rates are in effect until May 15. Full conference registration includes tickets for the opening reception, awards gala and the social event. Early bird prices for full CPERC registration are $750 for AFPC members, $850 for non-members and $350 for full-time students. A $50 credit is applied for registrants who do not want to attend the awards gala. Early bird single day rates are $350 / $400 / $150 for members / non-members / students. Rates increase May 16 to $850 (members), $950 for non-members and $400 for students.

PROGRAM

The CPERC 2026 program will be available in early 2026. The program will consist of educational streams for pharmacy educators and researchers in all disciplines and interests. Education sessions will be on June 17 and 18. A symposium is being planned for June 19, 2026. Social events include an opening reception (June 16), Awards Gala (June 17) and a fun night (June 18). 

ACCOMMODATIONS & TRAVEL

Booking details available soon. CPERC 2026 will be held at the Westin Edmonton, located at 10135 11th Street, Edmonton. The special group rate for CPERC delegates is $209 per night (excluding taxes). This rate is available for room nights between June 14 to June 19, 2026 and must be booked by May 15, 2026.
